Last Weekend before Playoff rankings ?

Featured Replies

This coming weekend's games are the last ones before the Playoff Rankings come out after the first week of Nov. games

So, who are your 1 thru 4 plus a couple of close ones ?

1. Ohio State (idle this week-shouldn't penalize them)

2. Clemson

3. Baylor (will see how it goes w/o starting QB before I drop them)

4. LSU

Close ..... Alabama, Stanford, OK State

(BTW ...A question for all plus mods - Would a "running thread" on the Playoff Staff Rankings each week ? discussion and/or if bgp members agree / who would they put, etc. .....??)

My prediction, unless something crazy happens this weekend. Last year they placed big emphasis on quality Wins and SOS

1) Clemson-W vs ND best W of all contenders

2) LSU- Florida W good one

3) OSU- beaten nobody but.....

4) Baylor-Back loaded schedule, about to get real for Bears

Next 2

Alabama-Really no great wins, but LSU lurking

TCU-See Baylor. Win and you're in

Close

Stanford- No matter how much ESPN wants you to forget it, they did lose to Northwestern

My first week ranking will be.

TCU

Baylor

Ohio State

LSU

With Clemson learking.

But I look for FSU to beat Florida and Clemson and get in the top 4.

Noles not going to beat both those teams, I would go other direction and say thy don't win either. Just not very good.

Top 4

1 Ohio State

2 LSU

3 Clemson

4 Baylor

First 4 Out

5. TCU

6. Notre Dame

7. Stanford

8. Michigan St.

I'll say...

1. Baylor

2. Clemson

3. LSU

4. Ohio State

Just outside:

5. Alabama

6. TCU

7. Michigan State

1. Baylor

2. LSU

3. Clemson

4. OSU

Next 4

5. Bama

6.Mich. St

7. Stanford

It is going to be interesting where Notre Dame ends up and IF Stanford wins out and Notre Dame wins out they play last game of the season.

I agree with your rankings. But Baylor needs a good performance from new QB . The committe is suppose to take key injuries into account.

Could end up being a play-in game for the Irish. Stanford would be in position but would still have the Pac-10 Championship game.

IMO if Irish win out they are in. Very real possibility of there being a two loss champ from Pac 12 and SEC. One of those stays home.

Clemson

LSU

OSU

Alabama

Notre Dame

Baylor

Committee telling Art Briles to play somebody. I was surprised ND so high, but hard to argue. TCU at 8, bet their fans are hot. Loooong way to go. Bama out for good if they lose this weekend.
