Honestly though, Ashland has played a couple out of state teams and i dont believe Dave's commador 64 gives them any credit for that.

Heres something ive been thinking about... I understand its too late to do so now but when Ashland needed to pass they went to Brown and Baker. So if you have no faith in Dowdy to throw why not have Brown as your qb move Dowdy to a slot position. You cant tell me Brown isnt a better runner than Dowdy and apparently has the better arm. Sure makes more since to me.

With this game being @ TC, I think it will make it tough to get a W but I think that Ashland will get a huge road win after dropping a heat breaker to JCHS for their only loss this season.

Tate Creek 15

Tates Creek is surely athletic but I don't see any way that their team speed is any better than Ashland's especially on defense. The Tomcats close distance on defense as well as anyone I have seen in the last couple of years. They also have 2 legit studs.

 

I would be surprised if Tates Creek beats Ashland. I do think Tates Creek can win if Ashland helps them (turnovers, penalties, poor coaching decisions), but I think if both teams play well Ashland wins by 2-3 scores. Baker will be to much and look to end his high school regular season in a big way. Good luck to both. Hope everyone is injury free.

Man Tates Creek had a chance on beating a top 10 6A club Lafayette. I think IMO, Creek might have exhausted all their energy in that game and will not have enough to beat Ashland.

Couldn't agree more. If you are not familiar with the team's wins over GW and Ironton may not seem like big wins, but anyone from the Tri-State area knows that those are quality wins over two solid football programs that even in down years would compete for a district title in KY.

Stats from the paper Ashland held JC to 161 yards on 39 snaps. 80 yards were on 2 plays so JCs other 37 plays netted them 81 yards. Ashland ran 60 plays and had 307 yards rushing. That D will always travel.

I think that Ashland wins. Even though Tates Creek is better than they've been recently I still think they are Under Achieving.

From what I gather TC has a pretty good offense, primarily a passing team. On the other hand their defense seems to be mediocre at best.

 

That said, a passing offense can test Ashlands defense, but not necessarily break them. But on the other hand if you don't have a strong defense Q and Ashlands other rushers can wreak havoc on you.

 

Personally I expect Ashland will come out strong and Q and company will run wild. I really don't see these kids having a letdown. If nothing else the JC game just woke them up. On the other hand, I believe TC's passing game will test Ashland, which will lead to a high scoring game.

Brown has issues lining up correctly and knowing the plays. No way he could handle the mental aspect of playing QB.
