How much of a threat are the Jags in 6A?

Grey Fox can knock his own team all he wants but they clearly would have a better chance for a title in 5A than 6A. By the way, I wonder if Grey Fox knows that Pulaski County's quarterback is injured

If Cooper were in 5A, they would be ranked number three in the state and considered a serious threat for the state championship

 

You appear to mistakenly assume I think that Cooper or Conner's road to a state game to be easier in 6A. That is not the case, I would have loved to see them stay down and compete for a 5A title. My only point is that it appeared to me that both programs were beat up for making a decision to move up and play at a higher level. That all of a sudden they were going to have losing season after losing season. That is not the case and both team not only held their own,, they had winning seasons. I think the boys of each team have done a great job and I applaud their efforts this year.

 

As long as the Trinity's, Male's, St. X's of the state do not have to play with a group of boys that are in a district it will be hard to beat them. However, Scott County had a special group of kids come through and was able to do so. Who knows that can happen Cooper or Conner.

I think this whole debate is about a chance at winning a title not about being able to compete in either class

Not knocking my team at all. Just stating an unbiased opinion is all.

 

You also know that Cooper's RB is injured and best dlineman among others also right?

We didn't celebrate or campaign to have our teams move up. They moved up and we accepted it. It isn't like some would leave to believe that the players and fans are so upset about it that it's some sort of huge injustice. That isn't the case at all. For all those who think Cooper and Conner moved up to hide from

HHS etc. it seems they play them anyway. For

CCH hasn't done squat in 4A in a long time, not even a district title since HHS started their streak yet they don't catch grief for moving up to 5A when they could have stayed in 4A and actually won several titles in the next 4 years. They have no chance at all in 5A. They can't even win their district.

Covington Catholic didn't move up into a class where they have to face Male, Trinity, St. Xavier, Scott County, and Simon Kenton. Cooper and Conner did.

The real question should be why would Cooper and Conner move to 6A knowing they can't beat SK!

Game in 6A last year too so who is to say Cooper can't do the same in 6A.
