Does Star 64 regularly do Saturday night games for TV? How often do NoKy teams get into that mix?

 

They did the CCH/HHS game last week.

 

I don't remember any other night games this year, I think it is hit and miss and I speculate that it has a lot to do with motivated schools and ability to sell advertising. The broadcast last week was a fine broadcast but it was also sort of an infomercial for both schools and a multitude of advertisers. And that is totally cool with me, I like learning about the schools and I appreciate advertisers who support high school athletics.

Also want to send a prayer to the families and people involved in the Oklahoma State homecoming parade tragedy today. I hope the woman who drove the car into everyone never sees the light of day. Reports are she was intoxicated.

I think something like that would almost have to have some backstory stuff on the schools just for filler and such and to make it look more professional, especially since it's highly unlikely whatever announcers are lined up are going to be deeply knowledgeable about the schools involved. Good chance for local schools with broadcast journalism programs to get their kids some practical experience.

Very scary. Car at high speed runs through several barracades and runs through a large crowd near the end of the parade route of the Omlahoma State Homecoming parade

injuring more than 30 and at least 2 dead. Witnesses said people were thrown into the air a good 20 feet high as the car plowed through them. Very very sad news. The car was apparently driven by an intoxicated woman.

 

They had at least 8 Aircare helicopters respond to the scene.

Star64 does a really stellar job with their production of High School football. I noticed during last weeks game they had at least 5 or 6 cameras providing coverage....including 1 in each endzone on boom lifts.

I still have a game they did back in 13' DVR'd as one of the best games I've seen in awhile. It was a Cooper Conner game

Either a 3-quarter sleeve threadbare concert T from the '80s, or some other kind of half-stylish wife-beater. Accessories include a headband with some nonsensical Japanese characters, and likely a similar one around one ankle/knee or the other. A Mr. Microphone would totally make the whole ensemble, as would some guyliner and lipstick if the missus allows.
