Manual scored on a pick six. Male dominated this game. Way to bounce back from a lackluster performance against the St. X Tigers by putting up a running clock on their Old Rival.

Was at this game. Best case scenario for Manual was that they would have gotten a second pick 6 and a long TD run was called back on a holding penalty. Even with that, this game was not in doubt. Manual's offense simply can't move the ball against very good to elite defenses. Manual's defense is good, but can't hold up all night.

 

Male is the real deal. Sky is the limit.

He's never beaten Trinity or X and he's had legitimate opportunities to do both. Since his first season he's never had a team finish high enough in the district to host a playoff game. Other then Male in 2013 has a team he coached ever beaten anyone they "shouldn't" have? (Maybe McCracken Co last year in the playoffs) Looking at his tenure at Manual outside of district I see a schedule filled with lots of fluff.

Are you purely talking about the score? They lost to the number one team by a similar score to what Trinity lost to the same team.

Does manual even care? Its not college. He might leave on his own but I doubt they fire him.

Fern Creek, PRP, Central, DeSales, and CAL would beg to differ. :lol2:

Fern Creek had to drop to 5A to be competitive even though they have a 6A enrollment, PRP is up and down, Central is legit and will play anybody, DeSales lost to Fern Creek and CAL cannot compete on 6A, so yes they would have to beg to be considered an upstart.

Lucas does as good as can be expected. He's successful against M's biggest rival. Only lost by 1 td last season. Manual might be looking down the road where they have very low numbers on the freshman level two years in a row.

 

I agree with JCPS having fluff. Middle schoolers know where to go if football is their sport. I believe Fern Creek may be able to rise up in 5A but their enrollment dropped since they were one of the worst academically a few years ago. If the numbers climb they may end up back in 6A. Central is a great team, year in and out.
