It was good to hear the Camel fight song at midfield finally this year.

I heard a lot of kids talking about their experience at the bonfire, and parent letter night always inspires them. Added and needed boost of emotion that helped them overcome some first half setbacks and regain the lead going into half!

Contribution from many different players tonight was awesome. I'm not saying they are a well oiled machine but this team has always been better than their record, just gotta believe.

With the Cooper win last night the Camels will host Connor in first round of playoffs.

 

Interesting rematch because Camels were able to run ball against Connor's D. Connor was exclusively pass with big plays on several scrambles by Padgett where he found a receiver open on the backside of the play. Right before halftime Camels D broke down and gave up a score with less than a minute to go. Connor got the ball to start second half and scored breaking open a game that could have gone either way.

 

Defensively Camels need to keep their pass rush more disciplined. Padgett can create so they have to keep him contained while pressuring him. Secondary has to do their jobs, Connor has several talented receivers, need to be mentally tough, then make plays.

 

Offensively the Camels have had success moving the ball both during this game and since then. Need to continue that and finish their drives with touchdowns. Our style is slower than Connor's so it is important to make our drives count. Dowds and Plessinger now present two potent options which have produced on the ground. If the Camels continue to hammer these two and let that open up passing attack they'll produce points. The flashes of the good Camel team are getting more prevalent, just gotta believe, play through their mistakes, and finish.
