Paintsville took advantage of it, but we are merely a shell of the team we were at Valley and not even close to who we were against Lawrence County or Portsmouth West. Couple that with Paintsville being legit and its a perfect storm for what went on. I m just hoping we can get to taking things one game at a time and finish the season on the highest note possibe and not 5-6. Which right now seems like the most logical possibility.

I agree just was told his speed wasn't an issue that they could handle his speed.

It's funny seeing all the excuses, guys just admit Rams aren't very good.

I wouldn't say they're not very good. From what I've saw they try to get too cute on offense with the play calling. That would be fine if they had the skill they've had but this year they don't. They have 3 good backs though and Bailey Walker is going to be the guy next year and I expect the same thing.

 

Looks average to me and Russell will try to score as many as they can.

Maybe Paintsville is better than what people are giving them credit for!!!!

My god. Do you have such a vendetta against all things Raceland that you cant just stop? You cant even let someone take YOUR POINT and go a step further to prove YOUR POINT. YOUR POINT was that we struggled with Phelps. To say that would be saying that we atleast neutralized him at some point, which we didnt.

 

Paintsville kicked our teeth in, Phelps had his way, we didnt block well, didnt tackle well, didnt run well, didnt throw well. Let them score too much, we scored too little. Idk how else myself or anyone can say it bud.

 

I guess I could go on to say that if this Raceland team isnt very good, what does it say about the West Carter Comets? I could go along my way and state that Brown had a 60 yard TD run and still only finished with 54 yards rushing or that they had around 70 yards passing, including a 50 yard busted play where our defenders got tied up with each other. Or how this very bad Raceland team held the Comets, Greenup County, Portsmouth West, to NEGATIVE yardage in the second half of those games?

 

Fact of the matter is Raceland has seemingly emploded since about week 5 or 6. But a majority of us Raceland Freaks have admitted to this. You just keep trying to cash the same friggin check over and over, but it just continues to bounce. Let it go Elsa.

I would agree.. Raceland is just the best team around here year end and year out. They are very special in eastern Kentucky.

500 wins 18 or 20 district championships Two Regional championships. Wins over teams who are 3 or 4 times our size (Ashland, Greenup, Russell.) 5 straight wins over Russell . Something like 2 three peats over Ashland before. It's just a special place and you wouldn't understand what us Orange seeing Glasses Ram fans see. Maybe you should get you a pair of them.

 

The problem is that Raceland has never done anything at the State level. Nobody west of Morehead even knows who you are. All the preseason BG talk and everything is so humorous. You can talk the talk, just not walk the walk.

You can't take away the season Paintsville is having, with that being said they are a dang good 1A team while JC is a dang good 4A team. JCs overall depth and size would be to much for Paintsville.

Number one I'm not a huge fairview fan and number two this isn't about that. It's about your orange seeing glasses and noticing that your program isn't as solid as you and other believe. Seriously what have you done at Raceland to make it special? That's a serious question and any answers would be appreciated.

O.K., Here we go -- #1,) Not a huge Fairview fan ? Well, you certainly were when you were doing your best to defend their football program when the allegations started coming out as if you were one of them or something. I remember denial along with slamming me along with others on here - charging Liars, crazy, jealous of Fairview among others that you along with others were doing. What happened, did you leave "the wood" with the others that were howling on here ? I will give you some credit, al but one or two left, shut up went in hiding or all of the mention when the Hammer dropped and what I along with others were proven right , justified. Ring a Bell ?

2.) Why isn't about that, bc you say so ? I remember you on a lot of Raceland threads, mostly criticizing Raceland and/or the Raceland fans in some way or another.

What makes it special ? A lot of pride in our school system, all athletic teams - boys and girls along with football. A wining football program and proud (yes, at times over zealous) fans ... "Fans" , that word, term is meant as a shortened term for "fanatics" ....about your team. I personally don't see any problem with that. I realize that some may not understand. Check out some JCHS, Highlands, Ashland, Beechwood threads along with your obsession with the Raceland threads and you might figure it out.

3.) Raceland has a lot of accomplishments, others have posted the numbers of district titles, wins. Also, a couple of "Legit", non sanctioned Region Championships. Should it take state championships to be an accomplishment then no, we don't have any and would love to have those like Ashland, Russell in our immediate area. So if it takes that the Ashland and Russell along with Greenup (state title in the 70's) are the only "accomplished" as you say, teams in our area.

Summing it up its about Pride ..... nothing more-nothing less. I realize that some don't know or understand what that means.

I'm confused...........I didn't say the Rams were going to struggle with Phelps. Backspin said "told you they would struggle with Phelps." Did the Rams lay down or quit because they struggled to stop Phelps and the Tigers? Also, I've never said the Rams are a bad team/program, that was someone else also, just not a deep playoff run team or BG worthy this year, been saying that since watching them in the Grid. Took some Ram fans until week 5 or 6 to admit it.........and that's the reason for trying to cash the same check over and over (since the Grid), to make sure the light gets through those orange goggles.
