Best cold remedy?

Featured Replies

Doctor to see if it's a virus or bacteria, most of the remedies only make your week and a half bug feel a little better for about 8 days.

I had a lot of those symptoms and was diagnosed yesterday with bronchitis.

It's different for me because I'm younger than probably 75% of the readers on this site, but when I feel under the weather I try to drink a ton of fluid (water and gatorade) and work out as much as I can in order to "sweat the sickness out."

...or you can go on a good drinking binge! Make the inside of your body so miserable that nothing wants to be in there.

Sure you will have a hangover but that usually only last for a day and after that problem solved.

I can say from experience that this usually is a succesful method, with the biggest downfall being the previosuly mentioned worse hangover.

Lots of DayQuil, lots of hot soup from the Chinese restaurant, and I gargle frequently with hydrogen peroxide (mixed with a little warm water). I also use ear wax remover (carbamide peroxide 6.5%) every few days.

I'm a pretty old guy.

Leeches.

And blood letting, don't forget that one.
