It's not really been established that this is the case. Could've been anybody in or around the press box and they got picked up by the radio guy's mic.

 

It sounds like the normal PA guy. If I'm HC and my team just got a flag thrown because of this guy I'm doing my best to make sure we get a new PA guy. Even if it wasn't on the loud speaker they still heard him enough to throw the flag. I wouldn't want a guy who couldn't maintain his composure behind that mic.

I'm not sure if it's over the load speaker or not, but it was obvious everyone could hear him. People usually can hear those guys screaming out the window.

Not to mention, your program is on probation by the KHSAA, was recently in the news for being sanctioned by the state, money has been mishandled and it's embarrassing to your program.

I stand corrected. I thought the windows were open.

I'm sorry I was wrong. The visitor coaches are in the old press box on the visitor side. There are usually quite a few people in the press box.

1). I'm as good as anybody at yelling at the refs. But to get that personal is classless.

 

2). The second flag was actually called on a player.

When you're down by 26 with under a minute to play, just take your beating and go home.

Whoever was hollering should be banned from the pressbox. On the college level, there are strict rules about "cheering" in the pressbox. If you want to scream at the refs, do it from the stands.

 

I realize high school is different, but the pressbox should be limited to those working and those who can control their emotions. This guy has no business there, but if the school administration allows it, then the issue is with them. KHSAA may not have rules against such behavior, but it should. He may be new to the site, but its hard to argue anything that "McPressbox" posts in this thread.

Exactly what I was thinking Ram.....As for the actions of the PA guy, even though I don't know who it is but all I can say is NFA .... Normal Fairview Activity. :no:.

I know that there are some very good people that live in that community along with some that are disgusted / embarrassed by their Football program's name in the past several (since around 02' or so )- when they ousted a very good coach Tackett who is a class act . This is just another bad mark on that program's name / reputation. I can't help but wonder how much longer they can or will keep football. I hope they do, would hate to see it for the hometown kids that want to play.
