October 14, 201511 yr Congrats to all the Cubs fans on here. They straight up punched the Cards in the mouth and deserve to move on. Schwarber is a STAR. I honestly like him better than any other Cub. He just has it. I am the biggest Matheny supporter there is and was very vocal on here about him being the manager of the year for what he did with this team.... That being said, Maddon worked him in this series. Matheny is a master of the regular season and does a great job getting his guys through 162, but he HAS to stop managing in October like it's July vs the Brewers... He will be the first to say he is still learning so I just hope the adjustments are made for the years to come. Can't wait for the Cubs/Cards series next year. Good luck to the Cubs the rest of the way. I'm hoping for a Blue Jay/Cubs Fall Classic.
October 14, 201511 yr Kris Bryant - rookie Baez - 200 career ABs Rizzo - just turned 26 Russell - rookie Schwarber - rookie Soler - 125 career games Crazy The one Reds game I attended last year was Soler's first plate appearance; he hit one out. Was pretty cool to see his season stats the next time he came to the plate. BA 1.000, SLG 4.000.
October 14, 201511 yr HECK YEAH ME Ryne Sandberg to the death. I have suffered many years. I named my kid after him.... I too have suffered. Last night was so surreal and I feel like the stars are lining up for us like it did for the Red Sox when they finally got over the hump.
October 14, 201511 yr Their offense is going to be scary good the next several years. If they sign a stud pitcher or two over the winter they're going to be unreal. I think they'll get Price in the off season.

October 15, 201511 yr Congrats to any bgp Cubs fans. I am not a huge Cubs fan at all but considering they were playing the Cards, I sure was in this series. Actually, with my AL / NL favs (NYY, Reds) out I will be pulling for the Cubs to win it all.
