Beechwood 49 Bellevue 0

Featured Replies

Beechwood is looking strong. This team just keeps getting better. I know Bellevue is struggling but Beechwood is really impressive. I see that NCC / Covington Holy Cross score and I am starting to think I am underrating Beechwood.

Bellevue hasn't scored a single point since September 5th., 4 consecutive shutouts......hang in there boys.

Way to go Tigers!!!! Beechwood Tigers that is.

I believe they have a couple key injuries to some skilled players.

I think it's less about injuries and more about people figuring out that offense. Their RB has been healthy for a couple of weeks, who carried them through the first few weeks. Teams figured out if you shut down the B and C gap it limits what Bellevue can do.

Bellevue was better than expected. Their offense had some success moving the ball on Beechwood, even though they did not score. Kyle Fieger was very impressive throwing the ball. Coach Rash and his staff are doing an awesome job teaching this team and making them improve every week. Several times this year Coach Rash has called timeouts at unusual times to get his players back on track and the team immediately plays better. It happened last night in the first half as the latest example.

49-0. Better than expected? How much worse could it be? You guys crack me up.

If you saw the game, you know what I am talking about. If you are only looking at the final score, you don't know.

Coming into the game, I see a Bellevue team that lost to Newport. Beechwood played Newport the week before and was leading 49-0 at the end of the first quarter. I am expecting something really bad against Bellevue. Bellevue was able to get some first downs on their first couple possessions. In fact, Coach Rash called a defensive timeout in the middle of a drive because he did not like how Bellevue was moving the ball on his defense. Halftime the score was only 28-0 Beechwood. I expected a running clock at halftime. Bellevue played hard throughout and did not look nearly as bad as I feared they would. That is why I say Bellevue was better than expected.

Fair enough. I did not see the game, this is the time of year when I go watch other teams, was at NCC HC. Sounds like BW did what they were supposed to do. Hopefully their starters get to play into the second half Friday, o assume Ludlow is the best of the three district teams they will play.

I am not sure Ludlow is the best of the other 3. I will have a better opinion on that Friday night after seeing Ludlow. I believe Bellevue might have a chance to beat Ludlow.
