October 9, 201511 yr Author NWA Cheap Trick Chic The Smiths Chicago (begrudgingly, as I do loathe Peter Cetera) I know you do. I remember. Right up there in the Henley category of loathing perhaps? Did you like the early Chicago stuff?
October 9, 201511 yr I know you do. I remember. Right up there in the Henley category of loathing perhaps? Did you like the early Chicago stuff? Yeah, love the early stuff. It's just in later years it was too much Peter Cetera. I'm thinking songs like "Stay The Night."
October 9, 201511 yr N.W.A. Deep Purple Yes I kinda have to add Deep Purple to mine, if for no other reason than "Hush" is just so darned great. Yes, well, ehhh … I can take 'em or "Leave It."
October 9, 201511 yr Author Yeah, love the early stuff. It's just in later years it was too much Peter Cetera. I'm thinking songs like "Stay The Night." Would love to see Zevon get inducted but probably isn't going to happen. That's too bad..
October 9, 201511 yr Would love to see Zevon get inducted but probably isn't going to happen. That's too bad.. Warren Zevon absolutely deserves to be in there.
October 9, 201511 yr Would love to see Zevon get inducted but probably isn't going to happen. That's too bad.. He will one day. Too many other people recorded his songs for him not to.
October 9, 201511 yr I believe they usually have somewhere between 5 and 10 performers that they induct each year, along with a smattering of "early influence" and "lifetime achievement" and "musical excellence" inductees to go along with them. It's hard to believe that there are groups that started in the 90s already making it in, but my list of performers would be: Chicago Steve Miller The Cars Yes Deep Purple N.W.A. Nine Inch Nails The Smiths
October 9, 201511 yr And I could agree on Chicago. Fairly impressive body of work. Our H.S. jazz band did a lot of their stuff.
October 9, 201511 yr And I could agree on Chicago. Fairly impressive body of work. Our H.S. jazz band did a lot of their stuff. "25 or 6 to 4" is a HS band staple.
October 9, 201511 yr you could make an argument for all but JJ, Los Lobos (except their crossover appeal), maybe Chaka Khan, first lady of 70's funk, except not enough of a catalog.
