You have to look at a football game in 3 parts...Offense ,Defense and Special teams...Not great on offense and special teams needs much work but defense has been good..got to keep offense on field longer can't have D stay on field too much...missing a few players hurts too....still 3-3 with one of toughest schedules around....tell me another team with this kind of schedule in this area (leave out trinity/st x--that's another "Springer Show")....play tough teams to show where you need improvements and not just play cupcakes!

They most definitely have challenged themselves... no doubt about that. With that said they are a 6A team with Title Aspirations so a difficult schedule should be expected. A team with a legit title hope in 6A would be 5-1 right now and would not have gotten worked over by Bowling Green.

I look at the 6A Top 10 and with the exception of McCracken County I don't see a team who would have given up 42 to Bowling Green.

Have you watched BG play? If so then that is your opinion and I fully understand it but don't agree with you. Should CH have beaten Boyle? Yes. Beaten SW? At their house...tough. BG not when the clicked like the other night! So 5-1 woukd be best case scenario....think 4-2 more like it but CH is 3-3 so they have to deal with it....let's see how they do in playoffs. Again, BG was clicking on all cylinders and think they woukd have beaten most on that Friday night!

Bowling green vs St X

I would say all the top 6-7 teams in 6A would be 5-1 or better with that schedule.

Please explain why they should have beat Boyle County. Forget the rest of the statement. They were down 21-13 with little time left and if not for a blown assignment that would have been the final score. IMO, Central Hardin was lucky to get out of there with a 2 point loss.

Central Hardin is a good team. There is no doubt that they will win district. As for the playoffs, I'm not sure what teams they will face. What kind of injuries are they looking at? I know one of the running backs was hurt last week.

From a Rebel fan perspective, I thought, at the time, the Boyle win over Central Hardin was as good a win as Boyle has had in several years. I have said more than once since then, the one team I would not want Boyle to play again is Central Hardin. In my opinion, if Boyle loses that game, they don't steamroll teams since that win. I have been surprised CH has struggled as much as they have. I hope they are able to get it together and make a deep run in 6A playoffs.

Paducah Tilghman beat McCracken County 21-7, Central Beat Paducah Tilghman 48-25 and rushed for almost 500 yards. I like our chances out west.

I have seen all Central Hardin games and they have a limited playbook when it comes to the passing game with Iler. He has also made some mistakes in each game that are becoming habit. I like the potential in freshman QB Jacob Hobbs, seems to have a strong arm and is accurate with his throws while rolling out.

You have to think, they have lost to 3A #1 Boyle County, 4A #1 South Warren, and 4A #1 Bowling Green, they should win the remainder of their games and have the easiest region in the playoffs, playing the likes of Madisonville-North Hopkins, Henderson County, Daviess County, Paducah Tilghman, and McCracken County. The bye week couldn't have came at a better time, with the injury bug hitting Central over the past 3 weeks. Should have Arnette, Bibb, and Krupinski back at full strength for Collins. My only concern is for the Woodford County game. Areferee that I know claims that their lineman are the real deal, potential D1.

John had them beat. 2 missed wide open passes that were for sure TD's and 2 clear block in the backs on 2 different punt returns that were not called. Big returns completely changed the game. Calls were easy calls that were missed.

How about John coaching staff not adjusting to the fake handoff to the halfback and QB sneak 5 times in a row

Your blown assignment was open most if game if the play would have been called more the TE was open down the seam more than not....go back and watch it if you can...just saying that CH had a real opportunity to win that game early...just my opinion, everybody has one ?

So the issue is the coaching?

It wasn't MY blown assignment. I would have been on him like white on rice. :lol2:

Schedule strength according to CalPreps:

01. Covington Catholic, 38.4

02. Highlands, 37.3

03. Trinity, 36.7

04. St. Xavier, 31.2

05. Bowling Green, 30.1

TIED AT 06. Central Hardin and Tates Creek, both at 29.8

That being said, CH's overall schedule strength will DROP -- hard. CalPreps includes only games played and not future games. So by playing Collins, North Hardin, Meade and Woodford, CH's schedule strength will start dropping. And since it is paired with District 1 (WKY), CH's schedule strength might fall out of the top 10 by the time the region finals (state quarterfinals) roll around.
