Collins had the ball and a 14-13 lead with 6 minutes to go and completely collapsed. They committed 3 turnovers and SC scored 3 touchdowns in 87 seconds.

Collins is now 2-3 heading into a tough second half of the season. Franklin County, at Central Hardin, North Oldham, at Shelby County, and at Anderson County. The Titans will be lucky to finish 5-5.

 

As for Spencer County, they are 6-0 and just won their Super Bowl. The question is, do they let this be the peak of their season or do they continue to win?

Spencer and Franklin County staked their claim to co-favorites in the district with their wins tonight over Collins and Shelby....

 

The Franklin vs. Spencer gam should be quite a treat - two extremely diverse teams.

 

But....this district is still wide-open. North Oldham has been hampered by injuries; they host Spencer this coming Friday and a key game (every district game in this district will be key!!!!)

 

Shelby was undefeated until tonight....and lost to Franklin by a whisker. Not too hard to see a scenario where Spencer / Franklin / Shelby beat each other up and Shelby takes the title.

 

ANYTHING can happen in this district. Five incredibly talented teams. A really good team is going to be staying home for the playoffs.

They threw a pick 6 and Spencer got the two point conversion. Then Spencer stopped them on downs and Kadin Smith scored on the first play after that. Then they intercepted them again and Logan Holbrook scored on the first play after that. Spencer outgained Collins 551-177, penalties and a couple of goal line stands kept collins in it. Spencer showed they are a team to be reckoned with, however this district is brutal!

I think Collins had more than 177 yards. It wasn't a whole lot more, because their offense is really struggling, but the CJ has Collins with 19 passing yards when one pass alone was for 61 yards. Their defense certainly kept them in the game, and holding Spencer to 13 for that long should've won it. They just don't have much on offense outside of Roseberry, and to win games in this district you're gonna have to score some points.

Don't want to be that #4 seed heading into the playoffs.

According to the CJ they rushed 56 times for 541 yards and were 0-3 passing for 0 yards.

All of their yards were rushing the only completion came on a two point conversion. Spencer had a mistake filled first half with holding penalties and fumbles, this kept the game close for a while but in the end Spencer's rushing attack took over.

As a Belfry fan I just want to thank Spencer County for keeping this kind of offense going on their end of the state.
