Not really. He came from Beechwood. I think the last superintendent lived in Pendleton Co.

Will be interesting to get the whole story to see how bad/not bad it might be.

Sadly, the comments section of the paper includes a person named Mike Bankemper calling Mr. Miller a hypocrite. I am 99.99% sure that is not the Mike Bankemper who teaches/coaches at CCHS and someone created a FB page with his name in order to make that comment.

The article in the Cincinnati Enquirer says that the picture was provided by the Kenton County Detention Center. If he is already out, you won't see him listed anymore.

Update: Campbell super accused of striking spouse

The Campbell County Schools superintendent who was arrested on a domestic violence charge is accused of striking his wife in the face and neck.

 

Erlanger Police arrested Glen Miller late Wednesday night after a family member called 911 saying that Miller struck her mother.

 

Police released the incident report Friday morning, which states that a female called 911 Wednesday evening, asked for dispatch to remain on the line and then hung up. Officials were able to re-contact the female, who said her father struck her mother and the women had left the scene.

 

Police met the alleged victim, June Miller, and the caller at Bethany Lutheran Church on Turkeyfoot Road, and the report states that the Erlanger police officer noted that the alleged victim had an injury on her neck, which she said came after Miller struck her.

 

When officers approached Glenn Miller, he said that the contact with his spouse was accidental, according to the police report.

 

Police arrested Miller, and court records state Miller is facing a charge of fourth-degree domestic violence.

 

On Friday, Campbell County Board of Education released a statement that Miller has been placed administrative leave in relation to the impending criminal charge.

 

The board called an executive session for 7 a.m. Friday to discuss personnel, noting the "Superintendent's Arrest."

 

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Shelli Wilson will be in charge during Miller's absence, board chair Janis Winbigler said in a statement released Friday. All questions were directed to the board's attorney, Garry Edmondson.

 

Edmondson had no further comment, responding, "It's inappropriate to speak on this personnel issue."

 

Miller was arraigned Thursday morning in Kenton County District Court and was released from Kenton County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond just after 2 p.m. Thursday, official said.

 

He is scheduled to appear in court again on Oct.19.

 

Miller took over as superintendent in Campbell County in 2011. Before that, he was a superintendent at Beechwood Independent Schools in Fort Mitchell.

 

He spent 27 years at Beechwood, beginning his career in 1984 as a math teacher. He rose from teacher to principal to superintendent, a position he held there for four years.

 

In 2013, the Campbell County Schools Board of Education unanimously voted to extend Miller's contract through 2018.

It is my sincere hope that if Mr. Miller is found guilty of this that he is expelled from his position at Campbell County Schools. I am a believer that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander and no double standards should be accepted.

 

I will plan to be present at the Board meeting when this topic comes up to insure that an equitable application of the rules is considered.....
