Defense #60 is a player to watch out for, he is big and very good. The RB do a good job, they use 3 with #10 being the fastest. The biggest thing that may hurt Garrard Co is not being at home and getting the calls. We had some very bad calls against us,but the kids fought thru it.

#60 is Davian Logan. Big time, potential D1 talent on the line.

 

Running back #10 is Jacob Foley. I'd say Foley is more the power back, #8 Mike Redmon is probably the fastest.

 

Also, from previous posts you are an East Jessamine fan. Garrard beat East 40-0. I doubt it was "very bad calls" that caused your defeat.

I will stick with the Juggs. I really feel they are starting to find their way.

Last I heard, turnovers and 4th down conversions are part of the game. Not sure what was questionable for East, but I do know that Garrard's D-line were getting cut blocked in shotgun all game... That is against the rules.

Fair, you didn't say the calls cost you the game. But you said it "may hurt Garrard Co is not being at home and getting the calls. We had some very bad calls against us..." The implication is that had the game been at East Jessamine the outcome would have been different. East ran for 47 yards and passed for 121 against Garrard. They threw three interceptions. Garrard ran for 361 yards and average 9.5 yards per carry. The game went to a running clock in the third quarter. Those are the true statements.

As to Lloyd's qb status, I am under the impression it will likely be a combination of Runion and Fann. I guess which ever one has the hot hand will get the most snaps. In LMHS first four games Fann was the starter for three of those games, while Runion was the qb for the Juggs last game against Holmes. Runion is more of a pure athlete that can run really well, and Fann throws a beautiful deep ball, but needs to improve on his footwork and decision making in order to cut down on drive killing interceptions. Runion seems to struggle at times with "touch", as in overthrowing or underthrowing even wide open receivers. Both QBs are capable of leading the Juggs to victory, but they must continue to do the little things which will aid in their progression at the QB position.

I'm always a proponent of having the more seasoned player start, especially at the QB position. Unless the underclass man is just so much of an athlete it wouldn't make sense to keep him on the bench. I will say that the skill sets are very different but Lloyds O doesn't require a super specific specialized set of abilities to run. Thus IMO I would play Runion.

I like to think if Runion was the QB in that game the score would have been different. Lloyd gave that game to BW, I'm not saying the Tigers aren't a good team and Lloyd would have won. But the Juggs did not make BW work for that win outside of the 1st Q and a half.

I was impressed with Runion as an athlete in the Beechwood game, but haven't seen him at QB. Fann made some very good throws and looked really good versus Beechwood. The Beechwood coaches made adjustments on defense that led to those interceptions. Would Runion have been better and not made those throws? We don't know. I put those throws partially on Lloyd's coaches for not changing it up when they saw what Beechwood was doing (dropping LB's deeper and undercutting deep in routes).

 

Also, the decision by Lloyd's coach to go for it on 4th down at their own 30 the first drive of the second half was horrible. He gave a Beechwood offense they had not been able to stop a short field. That decision sealed Lloyd's fate.

I completely agree, I look for Fann to take over the O next year and by his Sr. year be a very good QB. I do hope he gets some size, but I digress.

 

I want to see Runion behind center for the foreseeable future to see what the kids got, and how the offense does with him at the helm.
