Ryle 52 Campbell County 7

SK is #1 team in NKY, it's pretty obvious. I have much respect for the raiders but I don't believe they are truly better than SK. They only beat CovCath by 7 and they had to replace 3 out of there 4 dbs.

I'm with you.

I think SK is 1

I will put Ryle at 2 and Cooper

At 3 but 2 and 3 are a coin flip.

Ryle only beating CCH by 7 when they were supposed

To be dominating this year put the brakes on. This week Cooper plays Lex Cath without TCA again probably and this will be a good test if Cooper

Can win and by how much because Ryle only beat Lex Cath by 7 and was down most of the game.

Should be a fun couple weeks.

The Ryle/SK game will be a match up of opposites. Ryle is all about skill players but not very good at all upfront. SK very good upfront but not skilled in the skilled positions.

Ryle wants to go around you, SK wants to go through you. Which is smart because that is essentially the only thing each team can do.

Most of our rushing yardage is between the tackles. We're better than most think upfront. Just smaller.

Score comparisons are not always a good gauge of game conditions or a teams performance. Alot goes into the overall performance of a team. That was the first game, the ship looks seaworthy to me. All these comparisons get to be settled head to head so no predictions let's just say , we'll see.

There was a lot of talk on this board this past Spring with regards to Morgan being only a pocket passer and his inability to run. All the film I have seen of him this year and the CC game, he is very mobile and a very good runner. Unless the game is on the line, he will need to learn to slide rather than taking unneeded abuse.

Ryle's defense does a nice job of attacking. Meiman does a nice job off the edges.

CC is quicker this year than they have been in the past, but this upside unfortunately has brought along a less physical Camel offense and defense. There is some potential to win games this year. Players need to bring it though and toughen up.

I see the biggest difference for Cc than in years past is their QB play. He is a pretty good QB but not in the mold of past CC Qb's who were bruisers and would run their opponents defense into the ground.

A couple of years ago, people in CC said that Lickert was going to turn it around and start dominating because he was following the HHS model.

What has happened?

Have they won a playoff game under Lickert?

What does the future hold for Lickert and CC?

For the size of CC players and there numbers alone, CC has got to be the most disappointing program in NKY, over the past 5 seasons or so, hands down.:isurrender:

Since 1990, Campbell County has had a total of 8 winning seasons. 3 of those have been the past 5 seasons. Since 1980, Campbell County has a total of 3 district Championships. 2 of those have been the past 5 seasons. Since 1998, Campbell County has a total of 5 playoff wins. 3 of those have been the past 5 seasons. From 1998 to 2010, CC was 1-12 against Ryle. During the past 5 seasons CC is 3-2 against Ryle. From 1998 to 2010, CC did not beat Dixie. During the past 5 seasons, CC is 3-1 against Dixie. From 1998 to 2010, CC was 3-7 against NCC. During the past 5 seasons, CC is 3-2 against NCC.

When considering the last 25-30 years of Campbell County football, the past 5 years have been pretty successful. The pathway to continued success is not a straight line, there are bumps, curves and cliffs along the way. Campbell County will be fine.

Amazing how some get on here and beat on their chest when things are going good and kick the teams that are down. Let's not forget 2 years ago when Ryle was 2-9 and never scored over 20 points in a single game. Good for Ryle that they have a good wave of talent and have went from the bottom of the hill to the top, they've earned it but do it with class. You were right where the Camels are 2 short years ago. Don't forget what it took to climb to the top of the hill, you weren't just dropped off on the top. But don't kick us when we're down cause the wolf at the bottom of the hill is hungrier than the wolf at the top.

Great post.

Sometimes people seem to forget that HS football especially at public HS's will always go in streaks. Some years you are up some you are down. It's when fans of a team that have success for the first time in awhile seem to forget it goes in cycles is where they lose perspective.

CC in the past 5 years have had some really competitive teams and have done pretty good in NKY. They've been just as if not more successful than other 6A teams in the area in the last 5. They will be fine.

Agree. It's one thing to have success and have people happy for the turnaround. It's a totally different thing when a team finally has success after a drought that some fans find it imperative to talk down to other teams as if their team has always been on top.

As you said, how soon we forget that it wasn't long ago your team was trying not to go 0-10 in a season.

Being humble and simply enjoying the current seasons success goes a long way without feeling the need to trash other programs.

The have the best running back and arguably the best quarterback in NKY so I'm not sure how you can say they're not skilled.

2011-2015 is 5 years. The first season the current staff was at Campbell County was 2011.
