Catchers or Tag, or ???

Featured Replies

It appears "Pickle" was a fairly widespread term. What about "Catchers" or "Tag" or any other possibilities. I'm thinking "Catchers" is localized to the N.KY region, right or wrong?

Never heard of "catchers" -- it's always been "tag".

Never heard of it. Catchers means one thing. The guys who don the tools of ignorance. Love em.

Tag.

You're it.

Tag, never heard someone call it catchers.

We would also play manhunt which was essentially tag with teams at night.

Tag, manhunt and ghost in the graveyard.

In my neighborhood in the 60s, I heard "catchers".

I sorta remember the name "Catchers", but definitely "Tag" and sometimes "Frozen Tag", and in school we also played "Duck Duck Goose", and then of course there was "Hide n' Seek".
