Drew Curtis for Governor

 

Saw a lot of talk on him after the governor debate. So far I really like what I see.

There's a lot to like there for a centrist like me. He'd veto right to work but isn't bound to it because he doesn't have union backing. He's 100 percent right about the necessity to overhaul the state tax code. At least one company I've heard of in Louisville left town simply because of Kentucky's tax system.

 

I'll keep looking at him.

Here we are on the eve of the election. I'd like to vote for Curtis, but I don't think I'll pull the trigger. I wish he was running for a lesser office so I could be more certain he wasn't just a buffoon doing this on a lark.

 

His selection of his wife as a running mate is puzzling and I'm not wild about it.

I grew a lot less keen on the idea. But in the end Conway and Bevin are two of the worst candidates I've saw in my lifetime. Couldn't in good conscious pull the trigger on either one.

I ended up casting my vote for him. I was reading last night and Conway's Aqua Buddha campaign against Rand Paul came up. I hated that campaign more than I could ever put into words. Right there with Jim Bunning's "Mongiardo looks like a terrorist" nonsense as the most hateful things I've seen in an election. Couldn't pull the trigger for Conway.
