1. Desales: 4-0, Total Opponents LIT Rating: 335.1

2. Mayfield 3-1, 336.5

3. CAL 2-2, 389.1

4. Owensboro Catholic 1-2, 274.4 - Played and won a fourth game against an Indiana school

5. Danville 3-1, 333.1

 

Looking at this it looks like strength of schedule is pretty comparable across the top 5. CAL has obviously played the toughest schedule, but they did lose twice.

 

I think any of these teams can win in the playoffs.....playoffs should be interesting.

This is a great way to look at it! I firmly believe Desales is the team to beat and think they should be the favorite with all their weapons on both offense and defense. Hoping CAL can keep getting better each week and the underclassmen keep getting valuable experience.

Interesting combination of rankings info. How much will the Apollo game tell us about OCath? Also, no one doubts that CAL will be in full form come playoff time.

I really like Danville's chances to win 2A. They looked averaged vs. Boyle County but so would any other 2A team.

You like Danville's chances to make the title game? I can choose about 4 to 5 teams in the west that I would favor over Danville if that were to happen. 2 of those teams I don't think it would ever be close.

Well la, da, da, deeda,da, Everybody is looking at that Boyle Co. game and really discounting the ADS. I would say Desales would not do much better against Boyle.

I don't think anybody else will challenge the Rebels this season.

You need to get out of Danville more. lol DeSales would do just fine against Boyle. I'd love to see the Colts play danville.

Have you seen Boyle Play? I know Desales has had a nice run over the last couple of seasons and would probably beat Danville. But when your post in my opinion slights Danville. I will respond. Have you seen Danville play? One thing for sure if Danville does make it out of the east, they will only have to play one of the teams you were referring to. I think Desales will have plenty to worry about with Mayfield to make it to the finals.

I just looked at Desales opponents records combined 4-11, I haven't seen Desales play but I have seen Boyle play they are as good as advertised and don't have any glaring weakness. I stated in another post, I believe Boyle is top 3 reguardless of class.

Not trying to slight Danville or any team, but you have to believe the trophy will come back to a west team once again. I do expect to see NCC or Danville make the finals.
