This 6A heavyweight match-up is being played at Lafayette.

Scott County sumbled, if you can call it that, against Elder - at Elder. The Generals of Lafayette got back on the winning trail against a winless Boone County.

Hopes were high at Lafayette for this season. If they win - they will prove the naysayers wrong. But a big loss at home could be a big blow to coach Shaws plans this year.

Who wins? Why?

I have not been impressed with Lafayette thus far. In my opinion they were over valued in the pre season. They seemed under prepared and under motivated in the game i saw them play live.

My prediction-

Scott County- 49

Lafayette- 28

Scott Co continues its in-state whoopin's

You hit it on the head. Lafayette lives off their talent, which they have. Great athletes, D1 linemen. Need to coach them up.

I agree. But. Those "d-1" athletes. Got the game of there life in that trinity game???? What happen there. That d-1 line. Didn't score a point....????

Very interesting game for the lexington area.

Scott County is a more run dominant team than Lafayette.

For SC Keith Guy and Noah Hughes are the work horses Guy averages almost 9 yards a carry and Hughes averages 6 yards a carry.

Lafayette uses more wildcat with Walker Wood. In fact, Wood leads the Generals in rushing as quarterback. Mason Alstatt and Mathew Silvestri are the main running backs.

If Scott County wants to be the machine they need to be to beat Male, they need to keep getting better no matter the competition, which means they need to demolish these guys.

That's the perfect discription for Lafayette offense.

Scott co wins big. 42-14.

This game looked a lot better before the season began & I haven't even watched a game this season due to taking some time off from attending & just observing from a distance. I don't know what either team lost from last years game, but it was a close one for sure & I think McKee was worried his streak against Lexington schools was in jeopardy honestly.

The 3 wins that Lafayette has are against teams that couldn't hold a candle against them & the loss was against what 99% of the rest of us thought was the best team in the state (and arguably were @ that time)

The 3 wins that Scott Co. has, 2 are from teams that were expected to challenge them somewhat more than they did with Pulaski coming off their title last year & a Highlands team that year in & year out everyone expects to be in the thick of things & are having so far a down year for their history books. The loss is to an Ohio team that we consistently hear about from across the river as having a solid history of putting together great football teams & dispatched Scott Co. by nearly 20pts.

Do I think that Scott Co. has it in them to beat Lafayette, yes. Do I think that Lafayette can hang with them, sure, but I don't believe that Scott Co. hangs 70 on them like Trinity did as someone mentioned earlier.

Scott Co. wins unless Lafayette plays an absolutely flawless game & Scott Co. is a comedy of errors.
