One man's unbiased take on SK:

 

#1 team right now in NKY. SK has built one of the best overall programs in NKY. Stability in coaching. Nice feeder system. Great facilities. Great support. Nice depth i.e. they can platoon.

 

It's going to be difficult for a NKY to take them down. Ryle's offense is good enough to POTENTIALLY do that. I have not watched Cooper so I can't speak to them.

 

With that said IMO they cannot beat the top tier 6A teams. Not enough speed. Solid skill players but not gamebreakers against top defenses. QB play is solid. Nice passer. Not a great passer. Good runner. Not a great runner. Powell is really good and knows how to run. I'm not sure how many great looks he would get against a Trinity-type team.

 

If Louisville was removed from KY SK would be title contender.

SK is pretty crowded right now from what I understand, so I doubt they'll be able to keep increasing in size, and 2000 students won't fit in SK in it's current configuration. With a second new wing being added to Scott, and the change at Summit View, I would expect a redistricting before a new school being built.

Yes and no. You can't just transfer willy nilly even if you live in the Kenton County School district. First, there must be space available in the school your hoping to open enroll into. Second, there are several academic, attendance, and behavior standards that must be met, meaning you may not be approved. And third, if at any time, you fall below any of those standards, you can be politely asked to leave and go back to the school you are supposed to be enrolled at according to district boundaries. My experience is that over the last several years, I've seen more kids get denied open enrollment, and it's far from a sure thing that you'll get to go to your "school of choice".
