I know it is hard to tell for ranking purposes at this point but if SK, St. X, Cooper and Ryle aren't better than Lafayette then I'll be surprised.

Trinity moves past Male, is that the right call? Scott County plays another 5A team, how will they fair against 6A teams? Lafayette is much improved, but not that improved, how bad will Trinity beat them? Simon Kenton is winning, winning and winning again this week. Cooper goes to Bryan Station. Bad news for Boone County, they play Ryle this week, what will that score look like? Who deserves to move up? Who's going to move down next week?

I wasn't impressed with what I saw from Lafayette. I thought they would be better than what they were. I thought North Hardin looked like a better team than Lafayette. If North Hardin would have defeated John Hardin would they have cracked the top 10 this week?

Crazy thing is that I am too. They seem to understand better than most that you have to be able to pass and run to make an effective challenge for a title in 6A.

Northern Kentucky 6A is interesting: Cooper, Simon Kenton and Ryle.

Out of the 3, there is only 1 surprise for me. Ryle.

Cooper has done so far what I expected and so has SK. The question for me is during the off season all the talk and hype (and I was beating that drum also) about Ryle. Ryle was going to be the team to beat in 6A in NKY and they may very well be still. But the 2 games they've had I think some along with myself would have expected a bigger win differential in each game than just 7 points.

 

So I think Ryle is the big question mark still to be answered. Will they beat SK and Cooper? Will they split between the two teams or will they go 0fer?

 

Things are about to get interesting.

IF X can take care of business against a very good BG team I see them jumping a few teams ahead of them. Another IF, X beats BG would X jump ahead of Manual? I would imagine Lafayette will drop after this week
