I watched Walter Cronkite broadcast the moon landing and moon walk so it wasn't faked. :thumb:

Thanks to this thread I will be watching Apollo 13 this weekend. One of my favorites.

 

Me too...even though we knew the outcome. Great quote from that movie - "failure is not an option!"...

Also, the Soviets would have easily exposed the fraud of a faked moon landing by their biggest rival and enjoyed it immensely.

 

We 100% have landed on the moon numerous times. But people write books about faked moon landings and actually find a market for it, usually from the same crowd that believes in Big Foot, JFK assassination conspiracies, and the paranormal.

The Houston Space Center, by the way, is pretty freaking cool if you have never been, and I'm sure most haven't. To see an actual full scale rocket that was scheduled to go to the moon (till the moon missions were canceled) is a really neat thing to see.

To see it would mean I'd have to go back to Houston. Not much chance of that.

One of my arguments for Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone gunman. Too big of a secret to keep.

Different scenario IMO. The CIA does things everyday we never hear or know about. They could easily be behind something like the JFK assassination and you'd never hear a peep about it.

 

That said, I'm in no way saying I believe any of the theories.

I was in Galveston and drove up to see it. Galveston ain't bad. But, like you, have no desire for Houston.

We went to the moon...more than once BTW. Other entities, particularly the Soviets would have gone to whatever measures possible to discredit this achievement, and they were not able to do this.

 

I work with all kinds of Europeans who like to challenge whether the US went to the moon. The above point is one they cannot refute.
