Trinity better than expected or just the same ol' Lexington football?

One key time in the state champion game. If you look at the regular season game, he ran over T. Then the next year it was another good X back who's name I cannot remember.

As for the scrimmage, I went with a friend and what a great night for football! I thought the T pass defense got better as the game progressed; they were helped early by some HC dropped passes. Burns will make even more plays having moved to safety. No glaring holes at T - they just need to grow and get better week by week.

 

Few things to work on...missed tackles behind the line of scrimmage and a few soft spots in the underneath passing game that HC dropped (6 to 8 yard routes). From the conversations I've had, everyone in the stadium could see the same thing. But, everyone was quick to remind each other the kids only had the pads on for a few days.

 

I thought we dominated every aspect of the game in a most impressive fashion. Defense was flying to the ball all night and gang tackling - no home run passes to be mentioned. Ground game was amazing behind he O Line and Woosley most likely had a near perfect QBR. Throw in Harper's 2nd half performance, not a bad first impression for the Rocks.

 

Confident the staff will have plenty to talk about with the guys when they watch film today. But I do feel like the staff may have been overly excited with the way this group of guys came ready to play and execute.

 

Looking forward to green-white game and can't wait for Ensworth at Marshall Stadium.

Overhyped? Who has Henry Clay as a contender? I live up here and I can assure that they are not being hyped at all as a title contender. They faced the number one team in the state and 44-0 was the score and it would've been the score to 90% of the schools in this state. I think the only buzz HC will get this year is from the individual talent in Robinson and Buford. Sounds like they didn't play their best, but that happens when you play a top 100 team in the country. Trinity has set a standard that Henry Clay and the rest of the state can't touch. So congratulate the Rocks and stop with the overrated talk. I never saw anyone give them a snow ball chance in you know where

How is Lafayette regarded? Trinty plays them their 3rd game after two Nashville schools. It is at Trinity.

BGP has Lafayette as a top 5 school in the state in 6A. BGP has that but there's no way the game is even close against Trinity. I think they are a team with two of the best individual players in Willis and Young, but they don't have the weapons to keep up in scoring and they lost a lot of key pieces on defense. Sprinkle in the departure of the assistant coaches who are now at Woodford County, I see them as a team that can't be taken serious in 6A.

Hearing that one of the Trinity coaches (freshmen coach they think) was charged with some serious offenses. What is being said around school? Has he been let go already?

That first came up last year, he was dismissed some time ago.

If anyone knows what time the Trinity Green/White game starts tonight, please post it. Also, what format will the game be played under? Thanks.
