@JDEaston. I'm with @Watusi on this one. In my opinion it was very weak and embarrassing for Ashland to back out of the contract with Belfry a couple of years ago. The Belfry game has always been a great game on the field, and a great money maker for both schools since both schools always travel well on the road. I would love to know the reason behind that move.

 

I agree completely, I understand the possible reasoning behind it, but it was handled poorly. It looks bad on the program and should have never happened the way it did. However coach Hart is no longer here, so i do wish some could let it go, after all he was the one that made the decision, not the current coach or us fans.

I don't believe coach Hart ever publicly gave one. But from I gather it was due to talent drop off in the incoming classes. Like I said he handled it wrong, he should have known about less talent coming in prior to verbally agreeing with Belfry.
