August 8, 201511 yr Not really. For 3 years, yes. What I love about this . Throw out an incorrect statement and you'll be checked. Quickly.
August 11, 201511 yr Kind of hard to score runs like this. Last 7 days????? Pena .333 Phillips .333 Suarez .286 DeJesus .250 Barnhart .182 Byrd .179 Schumaker .167 Votto .143 Hamilton .136 Bruce .103 Frazier .074
August 12, 201511 yr 18 runs in August. That's a problem. One that doesn't seem likely to be addressed.
August 12, 201511 yr 18 runs in August. That's a problem. One that doesn't seem likely to be addressed. Not for the rest of the season, at least.
August 12, 201511 yr Not for the rest of the season, at least. LF may be the only change, and recent history doesn't lend us to believe that will be an upgrade.
August 12, 201511 yr LF may be the only change, and recent history doesn't lend us to believe that will be an upgrade. Should be a huge offensive upgrade at catcher next year.
August 13, 201511 yr Frazier did the same thing last year. He starts off hot and goes south quick month by month. He isn't anything special after the all star break and another reason the Reds won't do much in the near future. They haven't had an offense worth a dime in about 5 or so years
August 25, 201511 yr What are all the Bruce haters gonna say when Bruce ends up with a better average, more RBI, and a better OBP than Frazier? He's getting close... Haha . Bruce with a customary month long slump...
August 25, 201511 yr Should be a huge offensive upgrade at catcher next year. Huge is debatable. Healthy maybe. But thats a big maybe
August 26, 201511 yr Should be a huge offensive upgrade at catcher next year. I agree with malachi...it may be an upgrade, but I don't think it'll be huge. Pena/Barnhart hitting a combined .272 this year. Meso was only .001 higher last year. The difference will be in the power numbers. But, I don't think you're necessarily gaining any "outs" that these two are making this year. That's part of the reason I'd be open to having Meso play left, and let Pena/Barnhart stay at catcher.
