Monday slight risk of storms 8/3/15

Portions of Kentucky are in a slight risk area for strong to severe storms today. Some may see showers and storms this morning but the main threat area seems to be this later this afternoon. Damaging winds and hail seem to be the main threats. Always remember that a isolated tornado can't be ruled out.

 

As of now the main threat window for the possible severe storms seems to be after 4 pm EDT.

 

I'm watching the Wednesday/Thursday time period for this week. It seems that our chances for severe weather really go up.

Was in the process of loading the car to head back to Bardstown from my folks' place in Warsaw. No sooner got the coffee pot started when the storms knocked out the power, and I had to search my parents' house for all my stuff using the flashlight on my phone.

Power finally restored in Fairfield OH. Has been out since 5 am

All HELL broke loose in the Newport, Bellevue, Ft. Thomas area between 6:30 & 7:15 tonight. Torrential rain, wind, & hail.
