August 3, 201511 yr Minor injury. Michael Johnson of Cincinnati Bengals carted off practice field Looks to be just an mcl sprain. However until the MRI confirms it, I am not going to get my hopes up that he is OK.

August 3, 201511 yr Author One more reason Bengals should have drafted Bud Dupree. Couldn't agree more. Even if with a healthy MJ they still shold have drafted one of the top 3 DE's available when the Bengals picked.

How many times in the past has everyone (including myself) bashed the Bengals for drafting a "name", and not trying to better the overall team. The second round pick was truly too good to pass up on the Bengals board. With Whit getting long in the tooth, and Andre Smith's health issues, when you get a chance to get this kind of talent you have to take it. Hopefully the Johnson injury isn't too serious, and they still have several other DE's that can step up.

August 3, 201511 yr I agree the future is now, but the Bengals are also looking into the near future, where as in past drafts, they were just looking to get a name to sell tickets. Not sure of many positions that a rookie could come in and contribute right away with this rooster. Linebacker would be about it with some of the questions they have there with health.

August 3, 201511 yr One more reason Bengals should have drafted Bud Dupree. Again, Dupree is not a 4-3 DE. You can't draft a player that doesn't fit your scheme in the 1st round. Let's see how this works out. You guys know draft classes are not really a known until 3-5 years in.
