PurplePride92
Has anyone else discovered the awesomeness of Apple Music yet? It came with the new software update to iOS 8.4. Greatest. Thing. Ever. I think there is a free 3 month trial and after that it is $9.99 a month. Worth every penny!!! You pretty much have full access to their music library and can put it in your music library whenever you want. I've put at least 5-10 GB of music on my Apple products in the last 24 hours. I even had to buy more storage on iCloud for $3.99 so I could merge my playlists between devices. I'm like a kid in a candy store right now. PurplePride92
Never paid a penny for songs, download for free with YouTube mp3 converter. I haven't stolen music in about 5 years. I'll pay for it as long as the sound is high quality and they have the music I want.

I don't think I'm stealing anything.....why would YouTube provide the means to do this if it was illegal?

It is definitely theft, please don't make us go there. And PP, I have been looking at it and it does look awesome. And I love the idea, 10 bucks a months gets you most everything (except artists still playing keep away - their right). Hopefully the movie industry will do the same thing, I want access to all movies, all the time.
Habib
You can add all the songs you want to your devices and harddrive? I assume those are removed if you ever stop paying for the service?

I downloaded it the day it became available, and immediately downloaded about 100 songs. I haven't played around with it very much, but for a little over $100 per year, I think it's a great deal. I would easily spend that much or more on legal downloads (and yes I know that sounds stupid to some since you can get songs for free as was mentioned, but I used to work in the music industry and lost that awesome job primarily because of illegal downloading forcing my company out of business). To be able to get what you want, when you want, all quickly, easily and without hurting artists is really cool. It also makes it painless to try new styles, genres, and artists you normally wouldn't listen to.

rjs4470
Well, until YouTube or some other authority takes away the means to do so, I'll keep using it. Or until labels go out of business, and new young artists never get into the business because there's no money to be made. I used to work in the industry, and illegal downloading put a lot of companies and people out of work (including myself) in the early 2000's. And while the labels and artists played a part in that by not embracing downloading early on, artists and labels have lost billions to illegal downloads, and many up and coming artists, and even some established artists just stopped focusing on producing new music, which hurts everyone in the long run. I will always pay for my music out of respect for the artists.

I would think they would have some kind of complaint lodged against them for providing this...and the feature taken down. :idunno:

He's lucky I didn't know that when I met him last Saturday or I would have taken him out myself!!:sneaky: All kidding aside, it's something I feel strongly about, as I've seen the first hand effects of illegal downloading. And the labels and artists are partially to blame because instead of embracing the technology and trying to monetize it from the beginning, most fought it. And once the cat was out of the bag, they've been fighting an uphill battle ever since. Something like Apple music could have been done years ago, and at a price that would have made everyone happy. Had the labels created this early on at a good price, illegal downloads would never have been as big an issue as they became.

rjs4470
 You could have taken me out with one of those wrestling moves. You bet I could have. Hopefully though, you wouldn't have fought back all that hard, as I'm not in the best of shape to execute those moves.
