Anyone else notice these morons were using a flash light in a house that had lights on? Or that they were shining their flash light out a window? I didn't think they could make characters dumber than the ones in TWD.

The one moron didn't want the old man to shoot the zombie in the house. Now, if he hadn't seen one already and what they do, I'd understand. But he had already had to run over one multiple times to kill it...

We just got around to watching it last night.

 

I agree on Wireman's comment about there being more suspense in this episode than the first two. The drug-addicted son is a very frustrating character, but at the same time, he's the one that is most aware what's going on. Daniel obviously seems better-equipped to survive this world than every other character, while Travis does not seem long for the zombie-infested world. He's nowhere near Lori Grimes levels yet, but I'm kind of hoping Travis bites it.

 

I thought the military arriving at the end was a twist. I just assumed the group would depart and then we'd follow their story from there. I'm thinking the military is going to botch this somehow. I believe they probably killed the husband who was nearly killed by his zombified wife.

 

But that's what I'm most interested in seeing at this point...the military seems to be in control of that area, and yet we know things will spiral out of control. How that's going to unfold does interest me.

 

I still think the show is just okay, but I enjoyed the tension of episode 3.

What I think hurts TWD & FTWD the most is their inability to convince me that these kinds of zombies could essentially destroy modern civilization. I can understand how they could do damage and create some hysteria--especially early on--but I don't see how these slow-moving, unintelligent zombies could basically bring about the end of civilization as we know it.

 

That's why World War Z & 28 Days Later are such good movies. I can believe that those kinds of zombies could bring mankind to its knees.

It seems like there would never be a time where critical mass would be reached and you'd cross a point of no return. Seems like many people would get it and die, yes, but it would be contained. There may be some way I'm not thinking of for that to happen but this show missed the opportunity to show it.

There would be a lot of people like Hershel from TWD & Travis from FTWD who would see the zombies as sick and not beyond hope. And until people figured out how to kill them, I can see them inflicting a lot of damage--sort of like what we've seen in FTWD. But I just can't see them ending modern civilization.

I'm not sure what I would do if my neighbor and friend turned into a zombie and tried to eat me before a stranger blows his brains out in my living room.

They are making a one-time special about a plane. It'll be new set of characters, etc.

Last night's episode was a little better than the other two in terms of action and things happening. I almost can't deal with the drug addict son but other than that, I like the show.

They have already killed 2 people and never bothered to tell anyone? Rioters never figured out there were walkers among them so still not sure how many other than police get what is going on.

I Figured they were just showing more destruction of society? The Nat guard spray painting the X on the house means those folks are doomed but they will escape.
