BTW Arrez henderson didn't break his foot...he fractured both ankles. Kind of a weird injury but I saw him today and he was walking fine and with no cast.

3 of the 4 teams in the 16/under was N. Ky teams.

I looked back at some earlier posts, and it seems like there were more than four teams in the 16's age division. Did I miss something?

What I meant to say was 3 of the top 4 teams were N. Ky. teams.

Okay. Impressive performance for the Northern part of the state if that's the case. Does that mean the Derek Smith team didn't finish in the top four?

Thanks for the help. Looks like NKY has a strong class of juniors next year.

Since you've seen them, how good was DS? Had heard they were all that and a bag of chips.

Very talented team, only practiced twice due to highschool involvement and other issues. See post 56 and this may answer your rhetoric question.

How was this a rhetorical question? I asked PB his take on the DS team, that's all. I thought he may have seen the team play.

I saw post 56, but post 35 stuck out more.:thumb:

Fair enough, no harm intended:thumb:

Let's put it this way. If Derek Smith would have had Al Murry and the Hawks had Arrez Henderson it might have been a whole different out come in the AAU State tournament. Both of these kids are VERY GOOD players. I have coached against both of these teams earlier this season and lost to them with their full squad.

PizzaBoy, I agree and disagree. DS Allstars were not ready to play as a team. Adding Al Murray would have helped provided depth in the post area, not certain if he would have changed the entire complexion of the game and outcome. With Arrez Henderson, you get a more verstile player on the court. He is solid in both half court and full court games. His scoring presense and ability to hit the board from the wing spot would have made a very solid impact on the games.
