July 11, 201511 yr The Border will get closed and we will get serious about border security AFTER the next 9/11 happens and it is proven that the Terrorist just walked across our southern border. Until that happens any discussion about immigration reform is fruitless. My fear is that if another major terrorist attack happens that our Government will keep their path of entry away from the American public if they did indeed come across the southern border. I don't trust either side to do anything about securing the border either. Doubt it...we will just attack North Korea or Iran.

WE (you, me, the people we know, the people we don't know) are the ones who divide the nation in almost every issue I can think of. In the end, I can think of no elected official that affects our ability to find solutions or learn to live with each other despite differing opinions. We all latch onto some ideological position, and we draw our line in the sand. We refuse to really listen, really discuss issues with open minds to find solutions that will work for all. There is no compromise. The word has actually taken on a negative connotation to many. We want someone, anyone other than ourselves, to blame for what we perceive as the woes of society. We are a nation of arm chair quarterbacks.

It speaks volumes to me when our POTUS will send representatives to the funeral of a criminal, killed while attacking a police officer, and will not send any to an American hero's funeral (Chris Kyle) who served his country honorably. It also disturbs me he will not send any to an American citizen who was murdered by an illegal alien that had been deported five times previous and was in a city that defies Federal law.

If they ever get one, the first country they will use it on is Israel. I'm sure reasonable people can see how that would affect the world.

July 14, 201511 yr Author If I am leading Israel, I would tell the US you can sign the most stupid deal with Iran you want (and the US will most likely) but that does mean Israel is bound by it. Israel will become aggressive if it thinks Iran is close to getting a nuke. I don't blame them. We are stuck with the decisions of Obama and Kerry. Israel should not be.

Trump is hardly the only person sensationalizing this death. Brad Steinie parents have been all over the TV. I don't blame them one bit but let's not act like it's isolated to Trump. I did see where the Director of Homeland Security was questioned about her death and he didn't know who they were talking about. Let's face it, any attention brought to this murder and sanctuary cities is a black eye for the administration and a win for Trump.
