Supreme Court rules that government stealing of raisins is unconstitutional

High court strikes down raisin program as unconstitutional - StarTribune.com

"'Let them sell wine' is probably not much more comforting to the raisin growers than similar retorts have been to others throughout history," Roberts said. "Property rights cannot be so easily manipulated."

...

Justice Sonia Sotomayor was the only dissenter. She said the program did not deprive the Hornes of all their property rights; it just limited the amount of potential income they could earn from it.

Emphasis added.

Maybe Sotomayor would let them trade raisens for government dicated and forced healthcare insurance....

Justice Sonia Sotomayor seems to be a bit out of touch.

And she is a what, get ready for it. Liberal of course. She wants to take the raisins and give them away to those who don't work, just like the socialist who put her in that spot.

As are two or three of the other Justices.

The "all liberals suck" mantra grows tiresome.

It is difficult to hear the truth over and over. Something I learned a long time ago, liberals deleted the word truth from their dictionaries.

You are probably correct.

There's not a con(servative) out there who has ever lied.

**sigh**

Sotomayor just may be to the far right....err...far left....in the bell curve of capitalism/free market vs. socialists/single owner of everything spectrum.

As for Roberts - "Let them make wine" - some historical humor from the bench.

No argument here.

I might add to my statement. I do believe there are liberals who are in the vein of Hubert Humphrey, then there are liberals like Obama, Ayers and other like minded socialists, big government types or however you wish to refer to them. It would also include a former colleague of my from 25+ yrs. ago, from which I made my previous statement.

H. Humphrey had beliefs, of which some of them I can agree. Obama and his ilk claim they want to help the little guy, but their beliefs are all about power and control. Just as I will never change your mind, there is nothing short of God speaking to me, that will change my mind about Obama.
