First off, since I am a tree-hugger, I believe there are too many people on the planet, and I believe we do a lot of harm. I often think humanity is an infestation.

Don't like the word infestation? Then what do you call it, as mankind in its arrogance approaches 8 billion souls on the planet. Many of these in areas where they are so overpopulated that human dignity and value is at the bottom of the scale? Does that mean exterminate them...of course not...it means wake up and educate and work towards population control.

 

As far as painting with a broad brush...not sure what that meant. I am a tree-hugging conservative, so that means I am faced with compromises every day.

Do you realize how condescending and disingenuous this comes across? Are you really going to pray for "The Deuce" to the Lord? Not sure what you're trying to accomplish with those posts, but I venture to say you're missing your mark.

 

I think overpopulation is a HUGE problem and I've posted it on the topic 50+ times on BGP in the last couple of years, so on that one item I'm with Mr. Fenner. Whether or not it is going to cause the extinction of humans in 100 years, not for me to say, but it is a MAJOR problem to be sure.

Yet there are those (and you are not one of them) that dump all R'as together or all D's together or all libs together or all cons together and paint them with one big fat brush.
