CKYFAN Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 According to LEX18's Alan Cutler, former Kentucky and Baylor Head Coach Guy Morris is the new offensive line coach at LCA.
Clyde Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Is Guy retired and doing this for fun? I can't imagine this job pays much.
thehotsnakes Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I like Guy and everything like that, but there is no way anyone could have predicted this would be his career pat . It's almost like it's playing out in reverse now.

But he was a head coach in the SEC. That transition, whether forced or by choice, has to be a hard one to make considering where he was slightly over a decade ago. But that could just be me.

I am sure if ego was important he could find many high level jobs in the football profession. All I know is I am glad to have him in the KY high school ranks. Guys like him and Chuck Smith raise the bar for all of us.
Blockbuster Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 He coached the offensive line at Warren Central last season.
PurplePride92 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 He coached the offensive line at Warren Central last season. I was coming to say the same thing. He's been rumored for a couple of head coaching jobs in KY high school here in the past few years. I believe he was in the running for the Boyle County job after Coach Pardue had it.
oldrambler Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I am thrilled to hear this, will be great for KY. high school football. People can say anything they want but there is no doubt in my mind that Morris loves Kentucky, the state and it's people. Morris will definitely be a plus for the LCA kids. I would put a stipulation on the hire though .....he's got the job as long as he leaves Hal Mumme out of it, unless he plans on cheating. .
oldrambler Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 ^ A disclaimer on my above post -- I Did Not mean that LCA was cheating, just one of my lame attempts at a H. Mumme sarcasm/joke (never liked the man at all)
