I believe that Shelby and North Oldham graduated a lot but their coaches will always be developing talent. Collins and Spencer have most of their starters returning. Franklin is the wild card, not sure what they have.

 

Excited to see how it all plays out.

 

It should be a very competitive district. However, I think Shelby will struggle to make the playoffs most years. There just isn't much talent in that program. They have seemed to find a way to beat Spencer the past two years, but I think Spencer County has been the better team.

Flyers had a good showing at WKU camp at Collins Thursday evening Landon Hurst looked like a Great WR. Well rounded kids in each grade. We will see how it develops. A few kids I didn't recognize.

I was very impressed with Landon Hurst and I was specifically impressed with his quickness and how good his routes were. I expect a great year out of him!

Not sure who done well at the camp, but as far as young group not sure, I know they have been working with a group of freshman that seem to have some nice looking kids. The Sophomore group is pretty thin if they havent picked up any kids But I believe they are a solid group.

I was impressed with John Michael Stallard. He moved very well for a 289 pound man. I also saw a big improvement in the play of sophomore Jimmy Lewis. He tipped the scales 275 pounds and looks allot stronger and I know he will help FC on the line as well.

Can anyone post a final schedule for Franklin County? Did I noticed correctly they aren't playing Western Hills? When was the last time those two did not play?

Louisville Holy Cross recently had an opening arise for August 28. If the Western Hills/Franklin County game didn't get resolved, maybe Franklin County and Holy Cross could play.

I was at the 7 v 7 at Boyle today. It consisted of Boyle, Franklin, Montgomery and East Jessamine. Franklin looked really good and are very agile and quick. At points, Boyle had trouble keeping up. Impressive to me

How did Franklin do against Montgomery?

They did well from what I saw. I mostly had my eyes on Boyle but Franklin was rolling.

Franklin returns a lot from last years team. They should be the favorite in their new district and I think they benefited by the drop in class.
