I'd say the 9th is a lot better than the 8th. Three of the four districts are always tough. Maybe two can say that in the 8th. My comment was not a knock on Carson. I've seen him and he is a very good player. I watched him in the 8th Region all-a and the regular season. I did notice he was able to get away with a lot of stuff he wouldn't in other regions. I hate to say he was protected but that's how it looked. He couldn't do that in the 8th Region Tournament with outside officials.

IGNORANCE!!!!!!!! Dude, EVERY region in KY uses outside officials for the Regional tournaments..........ALL 16 REGIONS!!

Looking forward to seeing Carson and Owen County at Mercer County tomorrow evening. :thumb: :thumb:

Very glad I was able to see Carson play today. I hope I get a chance to see him when the season starts.

@rebels_Nation: Owen County 2016 SF/PF Carson Williams (@Cwilli2332) received an offer from Bowling Green University

The question that always comes up about carson is:"can the kid play the 3 at the college level? " his lack of perimeter offense is the only thing keeping him from being the best in the state. I have watched him play and the only thing he "gets away with" is when he shuffles his feet on his signature spin move. Every other player gets away with the same thing. If you do it fast enough refs have trouble seeing it.

Just read that Owen County will be participating in the King Of The Bluegrass Holiday Classic. Time to put to bed questions about the schedule. If there ever were any.

I will have to say this year's schedule is the most aggressive schedule that Owen has had in a long time. February will be the true test to see where they are before post season.

Also have to think that if Michael Dunaway is inside, that Carson will get more opportunities from outside to improve on offense. IMO, that would complete his game.

haven't seen him play since his freshman year, when he was a little chubby. he was good then. myself personally did not think he was going to have a great hs career then and didn't believe the hype because of where he went to school...man I was WRONG..kid looks good, good footwork, looks explosive at the rim.. glad to have been wrong wish the kid the best

Northeastern (in Boston) offered.
