Funny that you say that, had a guy tell me once that Ernie Fletcher's problem was that he did the exact same things that Democratic Governors had done for years...bad thing for him was the Dems already knew what to look for and called him out on all of it :lol2:

 

Technically Ernie was correct, what he was doing was pretty much the same as the Gov's before him but there was one big difference. Those Gov's served with Atty Generals who were in the same party and therefore were willing to look the other direction. Had the Atty Gen at the time been a Repub and more importantly a Repub who Ernie helped win the Atty Gen position and could be an asset for future races, Ernie could have gotten away with everything he did also but Ernie didn't understand that.

Didn't vote for him either time. He wasn't qualified. Unlike a close minded liberal Democrat I don't decide who to vote for based just on his party affiliation.

I served under Fletcher, had been here a few years when he took office. The things that guy (or his guys) did were incredibly bad. And remember, I'm a registered Republican. I didn't vote for him a second time.
