Will that make you feel better? What kills me is that I have seen an outpouring of sympathy and concern nationwide for this slain officer and that's what people were asking for as recently as the last slain officer. Now you want outrage, rioting and protesting. Maybe you'll get it next time an officer is slain since you want that kind of lunacy to take place. You missed the point completely. May 22, 201511 yr No it wasn't. I feel it is a legitimate question. I was hoping for an adult conversation on the topic. I think Joker gave a very good response. Thanks, much appreciated. I know it probably surprises people, but I really do respect good police officers and think that they are underpaid for what they do. There are bad eggs in every profession that always get the press, but I've interacted with plenty of officers that I felt were good people who were great at what they do.

Sentencing guideline for violent criminals, should this guy have been in prison instead of on the street? Funding for local police department, more manpower = officer safety in most situations Funding for better equipment, did they have top level protection vest or the bare (cheapest) minimum Why wasn't a warrant/felon (SWAT) task force used? When is our city going to get serious about crime and clean up our streets? There are a lot of things that could be protested and questions that could be asked when an officer is killed, yet most are overlooked or out right ignored. Calling for looting or vandalism is crazy and in no way warranted...but there is an honest discussion about officer safety that could be made. Spot on JD. I don't want rioting and looting because an officer was killed. What I want is the same passion for the officer as people seem to have for the others.

May 23, 201511 yr There's only outrage when the supposed good guy does something bad. TOTALLY WRONG! There is outrage when the media and Sharpton "say" a supposed good guy did something wrong. Whether that supposed good guy actually did something wrong makes no difference. Darren Wilson in Ferguson did NOTHING WRONG...and look what happened.

May 24, 201511 yr I thought it was funny. Unfortunately that is how many people feel and act out that way instead of realizing they are spreading the hate more than anyone else. Last I checked, there were thousands of people pulled over in Boone County since I've been working here and many were black yet not one of them have been shot or killed. So spreading ignorance with no factual statements to back it up is just as bad as being an outspoken racist in my book.

Meanwhile, some of us are out fighting stupid stuff like your statements by stopping and talking with minorities in lower income areas, handing out stickers, coloring books, stuffed animals, having lunch with these kids, etc., trying to mend those fences and stupid stuff like you posted keeps getting put out there.
