Freshman Basketball NKY

Featured Replies

Vince Rankin is one of Gray's bigs. He is going to Ryle. I believe the other big, Brayden Brimwell (sp), will be at Ryle also. Not 100% on Brayden's plan.

I can see Rankin playing JV/V This year. His skill set is JV/V ready, no question. Heard that Bromwell may be headed to Walton/Verona, not sure if this is true.

Is this the kid from Holmes? Heard they have a couple really good players who will be frosh next year that likely see minutes at the JV level.

Yea he is from Holmes has a Bolden like game style had a big future ahead and can be a really big impact for the Bulldogs

tayshaun brooks is a encoding freshman to look out for the kid can handle the ball

Did he play at Holmes as a 7th or 8th grader? I dont remember any true standouts on those teams with anywhere close to the caliber of play that James Bolden had his Frosh year.

They were really thin through all 3 classes of Middle School last season.

I thought the 8th grade class was supposed to be pretty good?

Played there 7th and 8th grade has a couple things to work on but once he gets it together he will be very hard to stop

I'm hearing Cov Holy Cross will see a few new faces next yr at the Frosh level. A few kids from the other side of the Licking River have shadowed there recently.

Who? It's usually the other way around when crossing the Licking

All I will say is good luck dealing with that hot mess from all things I hear.

My big question is why Holy Cross? I mean they have not made the Region Tournament in like 14 years. Playing in a district with Holmes/CovCath I dont see that changing one bit. Holmes continues to find the players and CovCath has turned into a basketball factory. I guess they do have the ALL A...... lol

There's always the 10th region!

I would say CVH and Andy Flood are the only "guaranteed" starters for next year. I think Ruthsatz will probably take over the point responsibilities. Beyond that I would think its wide open. Coach Ruthsatz will play the best players, and he has a lot of players to choose from.

Players to choose from:

CVH

Flood

Ruthsatz

Mayer

Walter

Ziegelmeyer

Bishop

Heppler

Lenhof

Massie

Sweeney

Fredrick

Add in potential surprises.

Nice depth. Lots of sophs and juniors.
