Where did Breeden go?

Edited by True blue (and gold)

To my knowledge he will be enjoying a well deserved and happy retirement.

Always liked watching Breeden's teams play and can say he was one hell of a coach.

Hadn't had any interaction with him other than him being a very nice guy when I covered the 11th for BGP. Some coaches you'd contact to get info could be like pulling teeth, but the guy who was a graduate assistant at UK and had plenty of regional titles to hang his hat on as well was always one of the guys who'd be one of the first to respond to requests about his teams for yearly previews and wouldn't act like it was a pain to deal with someone like me who doesn't know nearly much about basketball, etc.

Always thought that was very classy and will miss seeing him on the sidelines, but as others have said, it's a well deserved retirement.

I think that he has a few more years left to teach actually.

Well if that happens I would be shocked especially with the way everything went down just one season ago @ his former school. That district has a history of holding a hard line against someone who is removed from a position (you don't have to dig too deep @ many of the schools to find a story from the past about a coach that was removed & never got a 2nd chance)

IMO, I am not against him returning to coaching, but I think that this would be too quick of a return to the sideline.

Congrats to Coach Breeden on a successful career. A great coach and an even better person.

Breeden stepped down over a month ago & it didn't hit the paper in Lexington until last week. From what I have heard just now is that interviews occurred last week & that the job is already been given to Mike Allen, BUT nothing has been released to the media.

Sorta, but not totally surprised @ this point. The fluctuation that Creek has had in its coaching ranks the last few years makes it hard to hire for any position honestly. Something just doesn't feel right, but I guess its me just being use to the status quo of how that district works.

Like I said in the other post, its just amazing how many coaches in that district that have resigned or not been rehired for whatever reason have never gotten another shot in the county, & he does after 1 season.
