There are many good things about Title IX but there is a lot of things wrong about it.

Gotta be honest, I kind of laugh when I hear anyone complain about Title IX. Not to say that there haven't been bad thing happen because of it but because of the blatant hostility toward women's and girls sports by many athletic programs at ALL LEVELS before it was enacted.

There were womens' and girls' sports before 1972?

Honestly, this story doesn't surprise me one bit. Title IX has a great purpose, but often times it is throw out there and creating drama/controversy that just isn't needed.

I feel like there are many cases out there where Administrators toss out Title IX as a reason for doing something, when the women's and girl's team don't even want it. When I was in high school, our girl's basketball team hated playing on Friday nights, but due to Title IX, they had to have as many Friday night games as we did. Wasn't a big uproar or everything. Just seemed dumb.

I remember hearing several stories about large donations that Shaun Alexander was going to make to benefit the Boone County football program that were basically shot down because of Title IX. Another was shot down because it wasn't fair to the other high schools in the Boone County school district.

In its current form, Title IX is stupid. There's no other way to put it.

40% of girls' games have to be either on a Friday or Saturday.

There for a while they made girls play the last game of the night on a DH for approximately 50% of the games. The girls really hated that becuase fans would leave after the boys' game.

Its like this, the fans are either there to watch them or there not. Many fans leave because their kid is done or they arent interested in girls games.

The girls prefer to play first because the fans getting there at the end to cheer them on.

Girls ruin everything.

LOL, it is not them but the rules that sometimes go over the top with Title IX.

I think that its the lazy boosters or parents.

One group wants to work and the other don't and someone gets punished.

My question is why didnt the baseball boosters just share it with the girls softball team if it was just for storage. Not a big deal IMO.
