Maybe this sounds a little arrogant but being a police officer is a very demanding job and too many people that are hired for the job are not suited for it.

 

I look at it just like teachers, both teachers and police officers should be paid a lot more.

And I disagree with this statement. Absolutely no way teachers should be paid more than firefighters. That's asinine, IMO. I'm in no way trying to diminish what teachers do, far from it.

I love firefighters but I would be lying if I said I didn't like to give them a hard time.

 

Remember God created us firefighters so cops could have heros!

It would take some time but eventually because you would attract more skilled individuals.

 

Also, because of the advancements in technology, even more is going to be expected of future police officers and the pay will be forced up out of necessity.
