Video on ESPN shows a Mets fan tossing a beer on a Phillies outfielder as he chases down a ball. How should he be punished and what's the worst thing like that you've seen at a professional game?

Not saying it's not wrong...but this was part of the game of baseball in the first half of the 20th century.

 

That being said, I've got no beef with the Phillies banning the guy from their stadium for life (as if that could really be enforced, anyway).

Kick him out. At least put his name in computer so he can't buy directly from team or stadium. Could they have cops give him a ticket for littering?

Maybe assault or harassment, depending on the circumstances.

 

Biggest issue here is that a ticket is kind of like a contract to abide by the stadium's rules and not interfere with play... which throwing a beer on a player would clearly be.
