April 13, 201511 yr Video on ESPN shows a Mets fan tossing a beer on a Phillies outfielder as he chases down a ball. How should he be punished and what's the worst thing like that you've seen at a professional game?
April 13, 201511 yr Not saying it's not wrong...but this was part of the game of baseball in the first half of the 20th century. That being said, I've got no beef with the Phillies banning the guy from their stadium for life (as if that could really be enforced, anyway).
April 14, 201511 yr Kick him out. At least put his name in computer so he can't buy directly from team or stadium. Could they have cops give him a ticket for littering?

April 15, 201511 yr Beer? They're complaining about beer? I predict a rain of batteries on the Met outfield the next time NY is in Philly.
April 15, 201511 yr Author Serious question here...if someone was to do that to another person on the street, what charges could they face? Maybe assault or harassment, depending on the circumstances. Biggest issue here is that a ticket is kind of like a contract to abide by the stadium's rules and not interfere with play... which throwing a beer on a player would clearly be.
