Greenup Co basketball - Merle Kidwell joins as Asst Coach

Featured Replies

Not when your one of the top underclassmen in the state, and getting D1 looks. Unless your 6`4 or taller not much chance in basketball. I think way to many kids play aau who have no chance , on moving on to college. Baseball is less about size.

Interesting. So, a guy who's under 6' has a chance to play baseball in college? I think that's outstanding.

Why wouldn't it be? I`m all for any kid that can move on doing so. And yes a kid 6` or under has a much better chance in baseball. Not a hole lot of basketball players that size in college. There are many pro baseball players around 6`. Not but 1 or 2 in the NBA. Its not eazy to make it in any sport, my OP Basketball is the hardest.

Well then baseball must be good.

From what I herd today Coach Kidwell will be helping Tackett. Now hopefully Harold will take Coach Kidwell`s help and run with it. The 15-16 season is Harold`s last on contract. I would like to see Harold move on ,and Coach Kidwell take over. But really 1 more season, is 1 to many.

Contract? Last year?

There are no coaching contracts. All coaching positions are a year to year deal.

Don't confuse him with facts. He's on a roll.

I`m not 100% sure, but I`ve been told by many people that he got a 4 year deal. I will check on Monday , and post what I find.

The one true fact is Harold is a very bad coach, there`s you a fact , no it all SPINDOC. And your don't confuse him with facts , is low. But what I have seen from your post`s , it`s not surprising .

HS coaches don't get multi-year contracts. Basically every coach is year to year.

I`m just saying , I have herd from more than 2 or 3 people he had a 4 year deal. If so , it might be because Greenup had 4 coaches in 4 years. But like I said , I will know 100% yes or no , on Monday. I think teachers are 1 year, so in most cases , year to year is right. Or it could be he was promised 4 years .

You cry a lot.

I think so it would be big pay cut to switch.

That big of a difference in pay , from Russell to Greenup ? I know each school system pay`s different , but a Big cut. And Teachers are way underpaid any way.

You cry a lot.

Ha Ha you are so funny. IF getting on 1 coach is crying a lot, I guess I`m a cry baby then. You got me. You don't even know me , and have me figured out. If we all could only be as smart as you Spindoc.
