No.

Someone on Facebook said that the boy originally came to school with a mohawk, which then was modified to the "high and tight" look. If true, the patriotic haircut story suddenly becomes less convincing.

Boy, there's a source right up there with MSNBC.

Thanks for reminder. The big difference between me and the Fox faithful is that I don't start threads with slanted opinion pieces labeled as fact.

Really?
Really?

I quoted hearsay and labeled it as such. I then added "if true ..."

So what part don't you understand?

Let's get back to the real story here.

Hair rules are really difficult to enforce fairly. The only one I can think of deals with length as it's an objective measurement.

"Distracting?" No chance you can enforce that one.

Is a mohawk distracting? If so then this kid's cut is as well.

What about hair color? Is dying not allowed? What about the girl who wants to be a blonde? If that's good then so is the girl that dyes her hair pink and green.

It's just simpler to let kids be kids and wear their hair how they and their parents are OK with.

No, you did what you always do. Through crap in the mix to try and deflect from the actual issue.

I agree. Educators should have better things to worry and do then if a kids hair cut is distracting.

Wow...and all this time I have been wearing my hair in a high and tight or a flat top since my military days, I have been disrespectful and distracting. Who knew? I guess I will now be changing my hair style. I'm going to start on it right after my hip surgery.
