Question For Twitter Users

Featured Replies

I mentioned in another thread that I don't get a lot of crap on my Twitter timeline because I limit how many people I follow.

Curious as to how many people you follow.

I follow 495.

Athletes aren't my thing. I follow one college kid simply because I know him. I follow PPat because most of his stuff is entertainment/food related. Can't think of any others. I'll never follow a high school kid.

I follow 141. Sounds like I need to step up my game.

Wait 'til MTGL checks in.

Currently I'm following 182 people. I follow current Survivor players because many of them Tweet during the shows and you get insight into what they were thinking. Also follow a few past players who tweet during shows as well. They've answered questions about the game for me.

Don't follow any sports figures.

69. I follow organizations, teams, businesses, etc. more than individuals. If an individual says something important, one of those I am following will probably retweet it. My number is low, I know. I've only been on Twitter since the beginning of the year.

I laugh when I see who follows me. I had a female porn star following me for awhile! Hubba, hubba.

I'm at 554 and I'm due for a purge as well. I follow a few pro athletes. Most are boring and only tweet because they are being paid to promote this or that. I have some that are actually pretty interesting that I keep around.

Edit.. The Purge got me down to 482.

Full disclosure, I did follow quite a few former UK players and some big named ones (Kobe for instance) for a while, but like you said, I found them really boring and unfollowed all of them. Now it's only friends, sports writers/bloggers, news outlets/reporters, and a handful of actors/actresses.

Coach Cal has 1.35M followers.

Apparently I'm the only UK fan on Twitter that doesn't follow him.

I stumbled across analytics.twitter.com . It gives you report of your account.

Only athletes I follow are Johnny Manziel, Isaiah Canaan, Mirinda Carfrae (triathlete), and Ashley Clifford (hot triathlete). Manziel because I am always rooting for some party pics but he seldom tweets. Canaan I guess I started when he was getting pub while at Murray State. He can be dropped.

And I follow Lance Armstrong for some reason.

He was my first follow, so I keep him just for symbolic reasons.
