39, mainly sports media. I downsize during particular seasons. For instance, I stopped following a fb writer as he is now live tweeting UK baseball. Just clutters things up. I try not to follow too many from the same sport or genre as they get real repetitive and retweet each other.

The play-by-play live tweeters kill me. Twitter abuse as far as I'm concerned. Im sure someone wants that or no one would do it, but that's an instant unfollow for me.

Required to an extent in my line of work. Always have members that can't watch or listen for whatever reason and rely on my feed for updates. I try to limit it to big plays and score updates at the media stops knowing it drives some nuts...

Why are 12% of my followers Russian?

I follow 82, mostly individuals or media (KY high school or college sports related)

I have 18 followers, but not sure why because I never, ever tweet anything.

I log in about once a week

This is pretty much me. I follow 69, have 10 followers. Like you I'm not sure why, i've made 3 tweets and they were all a response to someone. The rest have been retweets.

I follow a few friends, some recruiting guys, UK stuff, packers, cardinals. The only athletes are CrossFit athletes.
