Hopkinsville 76 Taylor County 64 (Sweet 16 First Round)

Featured Replies

Hoptown was very impressive in how they challenged everything Taylor threw up at the basket. Only Goodin and Sloan were able to handle it and keep coming while others got frustrated. I think fatigue hurt Taylor as well.

Hopkinsville looked good today. It should be a good game, but Owensboro will have a though time beating them.

Looked to me like Taylor had plenty of offensive chances, but could never get the lid off the basket. Even at that, it was a 4-point game at 64-60...and then the wheels not only fell off, they rolled into the ditch. Always glad to see a Western Kentucky team win, but I would like to see those two teams go at it again.

I thought Hopkinsville looked and played like a team who has been here before and Taylor County played like a team who hadn't been there before. 17-32 FTs is Taylor County's own undoing.

34 to 5 in points off turnovers. Tigers win. As far as Friday goes, I think the big question will be can the big man for Owensboro play most of the game. Owensboro has the size advantage but what will the pace be like? Should be a good game.

Taylor only goes 7 deep so fatigue could have had something to do with. But missing FT's and TO's will not win you a big game. Taylor Co. also seemed to play to much 1 on 1 basketball.

No knock to tc. But like I previously said they are a year or two from winning in #theRupp great team. But I wasn't impressed by there record it's 0-0 this week and about experience. I think hhs will speed up Owensboro and run those bigs tongues or their mouth Friday night.
